Laurie Shifrin to be Featured Artist at Duvall’s Outdoor Quilt Show
Quilters and families alike will have a fun time visiting the small Western Washington town of Duvall on Saturday, September 24th, from 10-4pm. The 10th Annual Duvall Outdoor Quilt Show is free to all and is located on Main Street from the north end at Tuxedo’s Antiques (both sides of the street) to the south end at Valley Street, including the True Value Hardware, EF Copy & Print.
This year the show is paired with the Heritage Festival, happening the same day, at the historic Dougherty Farm House on Cherry Valley Road just at the north end of town. So not only can you see a bevy of beautiful quilts as you stroll along the street, but you can also experience demonstrations of butter churning, shingle making, plowing, spinning & weaving, and a “bed turning” of antique quilts. There will also be 3 music venues this year, featuring the 9-piece Bavarian Dance Band, musician Jeff Zuber, and Foothills Music Academy Students.
And best of all, I will be a featured quilt artist at the show. I’m going to be in a building adjacent to The Quilter’s Garden quilt shop and I’ll have a many of my favorite quilts with me, as well as books and patterns for sale (and autographing!). So if you’re looking for a fun way to spend your day, and would like to meet me and see my quilts, please come down and say “hi”.
If you’d like info on entering your quilt in the show, or more details on the show, check out The Quilter’s Garden’s website: http://www.duvallquiltshop.com./Annual_Quilt_Show.html. I know they’ll be adding information as the date approaches.
Hope to see you there!
