I am thrilled by all of the quilt shops around the country who are signing up for my new block of the month program with Hoffman California Fabrics – Ripples and Reflections. That just proves that quilters are loving batiks; (and surveys to shop owners verify this) batiks are the best-selling category of fabrics. And at every International Quilt Market another fabric company starts producing them, so now there are more than a dozen companies showing batik lines! Yeah – more choices for us!!!
If any of you are anxious to see my quilt in person and are planning to participate in the Western Washington Quilt Shop Hop (June 22-26), my quilt will be hanging at The Quilting Loft in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. I’ll be there for most of the time so come say “hi”. And if any of you are just looking for an excuse to visit the Seattle area, our shop hop features over 50 quilt shops west of the Cascade Mountains, between Canada and Oregon. And again this year, a limited edition theme fabric was designed by In The Beginning Fabrics with coordinates by Clothworks (both are Washington-based fabric companies).
Hope to see you there!
